Are you fishing the Angelina by 59 or the attoyac? How is the water level? I graduated SFA in 09 and live in dallas now. I usually go fishing there a few times a year when the whites move in and clean up on them.

He is on the Angelina, and not where it crosses 59.

Yes you can trust the Government, just ask the Indians.

I tried to fish there last yeart and the water was too shallow. Went to Shawnee landing and while it was low, there were Sandies to be caught. Launching a boat was also easier at Shawnee.

Also tried Kingtown last spring and if you didn't know exactly where the channel was you were in deep doo-doo,,,,or muck as the case may be. crazy

has it been all males caught or have the big females moved in. Did the run start early this year due to the warm weather.

We caught about 40 or so in a hour of fishing. All from the bank. Most were males, some females in the mix but the eggs werent oozing out. The bite on that part of the Angelina was much earlier than I have seen in other rivers. Dont usually fish there. Probably about a month ago I would guess

Shack, if the river is very low there may not be enough current at Tram. I always have done better on the females in the current. If there is current, try a point about 50 yds up stream of Tram landing where two sloughs Y together. There is always Sandies at that point if there is current.

You may want to try Shawnee landing. It is on the main channel and will have more current.

I've fished the river every spring for the past 30 years but not yet this spring.
