hmmm I've heard JR is working in the oilfield mudlogging. So his days of guiding or fishing will be few and far between.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

You heard wrong...

I am going to be doing limited guiding for a couple companies that keep me busy and do my normal charity stuff. I'm not going to kill myself tryig to fish every day like I did last year. So I will have limited openings targeting trophy fish for return folks.

I would recommend you give Jeff Walker a call about next week.

As mr dixon stated fishing is really slow and you will mainly be fishing for one big bite.

Thank all of y'all for the input, I'm sure all of the options are very good guides. I gave Jeff a call and look forward to fishing with him soon.

Figures it slow. Our club tourney is there next weekend. Maybe fishing will pick up before then with this warming trend.

I looked at weather for Ballinger next week & starting tuesday every day is mid to upper 60's with lows in lower 40's. But who knows with weathermen, especially a week away.
