Any of you going down this weekend/next week and worried about the weather? Looks to me it's been a while since a cold front has really hit down there and looks like it is going to for sure this time. For those of you who are experienced with the lake or those of you who are going to be there, does it change your game up at all? Looks like an overcast will be looming the entire time from what I can see.

I wouldn't let it affect my trip. Those fish are Pushing up and aside from slowing down for one or two days that weak front isn't going to change them much.

i'm going down monday. you can always catch fish on falcon. the good thing is the water is warming up as we speak with the near record highs these 3 or 4 days.

I wouldnt sweat the temps as much as the wind! The wind dictates a heck of a lot more than the temp, when you drive across the bridge going south and you see 30 boats in Veleno, it aint purty on the main lake!

We are heading down Monday staying thru to Thursday, gotta fish when you can. Like everyone else says its the wind that gets you on Falcon more than the temps

I am going to be there all next week. Am a little disappointed about the coming cold front but it will not be near the front I experiance one year ago. We went last year at this time and fished our first day in 80F weather and were actually sunburnt after the day. Next day? 40MPH north winds and 30F temps. It was the big ice storm that hit Texas superbowl week. We came on home to find DFW 20F and froze solid!

I think we were there for that storm, it hit about mid morning? We played hell getting back from the Tigers to the State Park, speared 3 waves before beaching it and riding it out on the bank for a couple hours........Gotta love Texas weather!
