I just purchased the new Abu Garcia Revo STX HS. It couldn't pass up a deal of $116 for it. I can't wait to try it out. Whats the census on these?

Good reels, you'll be very pleased with it. I've got 12 or 13 revo's from the S to the Premier and I haven't found anything to complain about yet with any of them.

Have an STX HS and its been great to me. I usually throw braid on it for frogs and heavy cover.

Awesome dude thats good to hear. I have been a Shimano man for a long time and I've decided to switch to Abu for my own reasons.

i just got an STX also, the drag on that sucker is MEAN. Can't wait to start using it. I have been selling off a bunch of my equipment and buying just a few higher quality items. After all, whats the point of having 14 rods and reels if you fish out of the back of the boat and really can only (comfortably and without your partner ripping on you for having so much [censored] next to your seat that you can hardly sit down...LOL) take 4 or 5 rods? It is a pain in the butt to stash a bunch of rods in the middle rod locker and have to dig them out to change rigs. I just got a revo stx and a new pflueger supreme xt spinning reel and a kistler mag ts spinning rod (for $69 new!) and have another supreme xt and 2 new dobyns rods arriving today (savvy spinning rod and champion baitcaster)
