Been looking for an older model Ranger, and ran across a super clean 96 model 372xt with a 150 Merc efi on Craigslist. Thinking about going to check it out, but the model 372xt kinda had me stumped, I've never heard of that one before. Just wondering if it was a bad hull design that they discontinued or something? Looking for any opinions from someone who might have one. Pros/Cons?

the 372 v is a good boat. I had a 373v BMC and it was a great boat. I believe the only difference is that the 372 has 2 rod boxes and the 373 has one rod box and the padded seat is in front of passenger console instead of the rod box thats on the on the 372. That hull ran great for me. Had a 150 merc on it that was strong.

The 37 series Comanches are good solid boats. Nothing to talk about performance wise though. I have a 86 375V and it has been very good to me.

You cannot go wrong with a Ranger! If I remember correctly they had no wood in them by that year. But you still should get it looked at and take it for a lake test before you hand over the cash.

They are nice boats. If I was going to buy a Ranger from around that era I'd try and look for a 461VS or 462VS(dual console).

Much better ride, IMO.

This one with just a powerhead would be a nice ride.
