I just got a boat with 1994 Yamaha P200...
What are your recommendations/experience on best oil and foot lube to use. Is an good grade TCW-3 oil okay? Any advantage to using Yamaha products?
Thanks for your help.
Ken

Found this on another post, excellent explanation on using premium oils.

Do the math!
I use 600 gallons of fuel per season.
50:1 gas to oil ratio means I burn 12 gallons of oil per year.
Yamalube bulk price $12.00 X 12 gal = $144.00
El Cheapo oil price $ 7.00 X 12 gal = $ 84.00
Difference = $ 60.00
Did I buy a $ 6,000.00 engine to save $ 60 a year?????
I don't think so!!!!

And I don't buy oil filters or timing belts. LOL. Wonder what that feels like when one decides to slip 10 miles offshore with weather coming in????
