I have an onboard charger for 3 batteries. It charges the first two just fine but boils over the third. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Dont know what kind of warranty your brand might have???? but if its over 3-4 years old (maybe 5) that's about as long as they last, especially if you use it a lot to recharge batteries; mine lasted 5 years.......now on my second charger.

A bad day fishin' is still better than work!
That's BOATMAN1 with the blue hat on! BUT the BOAT is fake!

Replace the battery.
I had 2 doing that. After replacing them the new ones were fine.

Glad to have taken..."the trash in the back!"

I'd check the battery first as well. Make sure the water level is where it should be. Use only distilled water. after charging and allowing to cool, check the voltage and specific gravity of each cell. My bet is you're gonna find a dead (shorted) cell. This makes the other 5 cells try to absorb the charge for 6.

Good luck!
