I need some help buying my next baitcast reel. I need to keep it under $100 though. I know, this takes me away from quality. Anyone suggest any decent reels for under a hundred? Anyone ever own a Pinnacle Matrix? Thoughts? What about the Quantum Antix? Okuma alumina?

I was planning on going with the Mettles, but they don't make them left handed. I know, left handed retrieve limits my options, but I've fished left handed my whole life, and I'm not changing now.

If you're limited to left handed, I'd say a Pro Qualifier from BPS. I have 2 and love em. I assume their left handed reels are just as good as their right handed ones

What about a used citica, revo, etc? There are some fantastic deals on new or almost new used" reels in the classifieds. For a small fee you could use one of the reel cleaning/repair guys on here and have a good as new quality reel in the price range your looking for.

I have two pro qualifers as well good reels and hold up well. Don't get a black or silver max. If you fish for more than 1 a month they won't hold up level winds brake handles spin backwards they are heavy and just cheap made reels that can't take punishment like the above mentioned reels.

I fish 6 days a week 3-6 hours a day with my silver max. I've had it for 3 weeks. With zero issues. Also have a quantum kvd signature series I paid 70.00 for and love it as well.
