Just thought some of you guys would to know blt paying back more than bass n bucks percentage wise for sure. Bass bucks on toledo sat paid back only 73.9% not including sponsor money. They paid 14700 out of 19880. Not including membership fees and such. If anybody on here is associated with bass n bucks here's your sign. This is why your participation has suffered and will continue to do so. Wouldn't normally post stuff i was irritated about but had i known the paybacks i might would have saved my money and i think ther tournament guys should know how low it is. I like blt and the payback at 80 % sounds good but association with bass nbucks may hurt more than help.

Ok done ranting

im sure bassnbucks is doing all they can for paybacks. Dave runs a great tournament and he cant do it for free. Dont sign up if payback is a concern.

Did you win or get a check in the tourney?

Bank beater 1

Jaret touched on the heart of the issue.

I am sure you don't believe that anyone with good sense would agree to 'donate' to us addicted bass fishermen just because you and I like to fish tournaments.

Cold hard fact is that "TIMES ARE HARD". Our lakes are low, people don't like bumping into stumps and the competition is tough in this part of East Texas (Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn).

The people at Bass-N-Bucks, Bass Champs, Media and others love this sport as much as we do so they keep offering us opportunities to fish tournaments for good payouts in spite of the "roll of the dice" regarding their return-on-investment. They have to draw the line somewhere.

I'll continue to enjoy competing even though the participation is lower than a full pay-out and be thankful that we have someone who will make the sacrifice to give us a chance.

Congratulation to the teams that earned a check yesterday.

Not worth the a long discussion just wanted everyone else to realize the changes so they aren't surprized and can fish or not fish based on this information. Bass n bucks not what it used to be. Toledo guys are no longer satisfied fishing them so t will be a good opportunity for something new to step in. Doesn't seem right to only drop the gaurantee 8k just for toledo. Almost none of guys i talkedto even realized the drop in payout til weigh in. He lost enough boats already for moving the championship now more will quit fishing them too. I may fish more but ot gonna worry about fishing the whole series anymore. Only gonna fish em if timing seems good. No reason to go practice and prefish when the payday just aint there anymore.

Atleast Toledo has trail to fish over there. Tough times but an amazing fishery. The days of 250 boats in bassnbucks events are over just like we won't see 300 entries in Basschamps again. It could be way worse.

Guys, the numbers listed above are not correct.

There were 71 teams with one AOY (they fish for free), which leaves 70 paid teams.

$19,600 was collected. $14,700 was paid back (not including sponsor prizes). That equals 75%.

Payout
Big Bass - $700 ($10 per paid team)
1st Place - $5,000
2nd Place - $2,500
3rd Place - $1,600
4th Place - $1,000
5th Place - $900
6th Place - $800
7th Place - $700
8th Place - $600
9th Place - $500
10th Place- $400

I calculate the payouts for both BLT and BnB. It is done via an Excel spreadsheet, and it is 100% correct, but if we do ever make a mistake (I make my fair share of them), then we will make it right.

I promise everyone, we are not trying to "pull a fast one" or rip anyone off. In fact, with both BLT and BnB, we have invested a considerable amount of our own personal money to set everything up to offer a top notch fishing experience for everyone that fishes with us. We will continue to invest and make changes accordingly to continue this growth and to (try) to make as many people as possible happy.

Last week a lot of people were saying there are too many trails out there, and that is causing low turnouts. Now, someone is saying this is a perfect opportunity for a new trail to start. Obviously, not everyone will agree, and not everyone will be happy, no matter what is done. Our goal is to talk to our anglers, listen to what they have to say (both good and bad), and do the absolute best we can.

We have talked to a lot of the Toledo Bend guys, and we are trying to do whatever we can to get that series back up to the numbers it used to be. We welcome anything you want to say, so please send us your feedback and talk to us.

You can reach Bryan Davis at 469-955-7808. He is handling all of the Bass-N-Bucks calls, emails, entries, and feedback. I can assure you we have open ears to everything you have to say.

We realize that moving the Toledo Bend championship to Rayburn upset a lot of people that fished that series, and we have made a decision to have ALL Toledo Bend series tournaments on Toledo Bend from this point forward. We also have an exclusive Bass-N-Bucks championship on Toledo Bend, where we are giving away a brand new $45,000 Legend Alpha 199 with a 200 hp Mercury motor. This was not free, and it is guaranteed, so it is in our best interest to do whatever we need to do to get everyone to come back and keep fishing with us. We will NEVER mistreat our anglers, and we will ALWAYS do everything we can to offer the best tournaments and payouts that we can.

We are giving $120,000 away in first place cash and boat prizes in our BLT/BnB championships, and BnB can qualify to fish ALL of them. This is on top of the normal 80% payback for the rest of the places. We hope this is a good start in showing everyone that we are willing to put our own personal money where our mouth is.

On top of the $120,000 in cash and boats in the Region Championships, we are giving away TWO $45,000 boats in our Grand Championship. That's $90,000 worth of boats in ONE CHAMPIONSHIP. These boats are not free, but we are willing to invest in our program (and lose our personal money) to build a great tournament trail. We hope that a lot of people will see this value, and see our passion for this, and come give us a try.

If you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns, please give us a call and let's discuss. There is a lot of misinformation that is posted on forums. We want to make sure everyone knows the facts before making their decisions.

If you can't get ahold of Bryan immediately and want to talk to someone, you can always call me. 214-616-5693.

I really hope everyone will give us a chance to make whatever changes are necessary before the write us off and decide not to come back. I give you my word (along with the rest of the BLT/BnB staff), that we will listen to everything you have to say, and even if we can't all agree 100%, we will do all we can to make as many people that fish with us happy with the program.

Thanks for reading my novel. I am going to go ice my fingers now. smile

That is nothing new. But the only ones that cry are the ones that don't have a chance at winning to begin with.

That's not my situation i work full time as a programmer and still made 10% of my income last year fishing. What irritated me was unless you got online and eyeballed for changes you didnt even know the gauraunteed 8k was gone. I didnt talk to anyone who realized this change until the weigh in when it was announced what was being paid.. It was in the print but alot of us have fished it for years and we're used to the payouts and when u look quickly at the expected payouts in say the lakecasters or even the flyer it looked like the same ad we have always seen. Not saying it was deliberately hid but it was not well expressed either. Bnb has made some bad decisions lately its gonna "take" some work to get it back.

Bank beater 1,

We definitely apologize if the information about the payout was not easy to find. We posted it on the website and ran an ad in the Lakecaster, and also mailed out fliers to almost every person that had recently fished with us. We will check into what else we can do to make sure important information gets out to everyone.

Our goal is to listen to what our anglers are saying, and make whatever adjustments are necessary and possible to make our tournaments the best for everyone involved. Hopefully, by doing this, we can prove to anyone that may have recently become upset with us that we are in this for the long run, and that we really do care. Our plan is to put the 1st-3rd Place gaurantee back as soon as fiscally possible.

Thanks for your comments, and please keep them coming.
