This might not be the proper area - but I am looking for help with my boat's electrical system. I have a 36V Trolling motor - motor checks good, batteries good, so I am lost. While the batteries are on the charging system the trolling motor seems to work fine. But without the plug in, the trolling motor is dead. Anyone know someone who does this type of work?
Thanks, Curtis

Curtis, what plug are you talking about? The extension cord, or I assume round plug the trolling motor plugs into?

I realized I was my post may have been a little confusing. The trolling motor does not function (or functions very little) with the 3 - 12 V battery connection. BUT, when I plug the on -board charger into a electrical terminal, the trolling motor does fine. I have tested the batteries and they are good. But, when I remove the plug, the trolling motor is dead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need to recheck battery`s and all connections at battery`s and trolling motor plug. Good Luck
