Would like to know if any has any tips on trout fishing going feb 12,never been ,have done alot of different,bass,cat,crappie,never trout so any info would help to at least make me look good with my boys frkazoid

Its important-wild river trout or stocked tank trout.The differences are huge.

( Assuming you're talking about a stocked pond. )

Small hook , small sinker about 18" from hook , throw it out and let it sit on the bottom. Watch your line and set the hook on that first tug . wink A lot of people use canned corn but I've had better luck with Gulp's "corn/ mais" .

Wal-Mart sells some small in-line spinners ( 6 for $10) . The heads are painted to look like minnows , otherwise they look kinda like small roostertails.

I have a trout tutorial on line that has been well received. Follow the instructions here and be a hero to your kids.

can of corn dumped into a tupperware container, pour garlic powder liberaly, shake, put in fridge overnight. When you get to the pond, as your setting up, throw a couple dozen kernals out about 8-10 from bank. Fish that area, leave with limits while others watch and wonder
