The river is dead and will be a mudhole after all this rain.

walked and rode 4 wheelers up there and the water was dried up in most of it bout sums it up. spent some time up there on 4 wheelers while the lake was down. Damnedist thing I ever saw. Not hardly any water in the river. Should have a puddle or two now though.

Last time I was there, I saw a bunch of buzzards eating fish that had died.

Was up there in Oct. and it truly was a sad sight all the dry ground and dead fish, hopefully the TPWD will restock that area if we still have water this summer. ,

Judging from the pic it out to be good spawning flats once the water settles down and warms up.
I'd like to make the run back up there again, very good fishing everytime I've been up there.

Those flats have turned into hog wallows...what used to be good has become over run with wild hogs.

There were some tricky spots up there.... If we ride our 4 wheelers on Texoma, the authorities whip out their pens and start writing tickets................at least to the riders that stop. They can't write em if they can't catch you. Lol

What part of Texoma are you on Mike? I've got a place up on Preston point. We ride 4 wheelers all over the place up there and have never had a problem. There are some really good trails over on the OK side. West bank going in to Bay of the Cross.
