I was at the Austin Boat show a few weeks ago and while looking at the Nitro Bay Boats, I noticed a small light (interior courtesy light) mounted at the bottom of the center console (on the side). It looked sort of like a photo-eye on a deer feeder or something. Does anyone know where I could buy a couple of these lights to install on my boat or something equivalent? I really liked how small they were, and that they fit almost flush.

Look on page 482 of the new BPS 2004 Master Catalog. You can also search West Marine and Boater World web sites for courtesy lights.

The old Redfin center console that I use to have came with courtesy lights on both sides of the console. I owned a Jeep pick-up truck at the time and had put a camper shell over the bed which precipitated me having to remove the outside dome light on the Jeep. I used that light and mounted it on the ledge against the front casting deck as a courtesy light for the front of the boat.

How strange.. I have the same setup that I mounted probably in the same place. I bought a dome light from BPS and installed a heavy duty toggle switch, not the piece of junk that came on it, then bought a rubber switch boot from Academy, sealed all connectors and wiring and it's been working since. I have it connected to one of my trolling motor batteries. Works great for picking up shad that fall out of my castnet at night.

if it has a "photo cell" and you don't to wire it to your boat wire system then you could probaly use the solar landscaping lights from home depot or you could just wiring a led on the positive feul gauge wire
