Unfortunately, the only bank fishing spots down there I know of are A) Live Oak county park/airport ramp or B) the hwy59 bridge (right around the bridge) itself. As far as I know, the rest of the property on that river is Private. Your liable to be arrested or run off if you go anywhere else.

With the water levels as low as they are, the Park would be your best bet if you can find a deeper hole within the park boundary's. There are several spots that were always good with higher water, but now it would be hit or miss at best.

There use to be a man who would charge to go onto his land and fish off the bank. He would meet you at Vann's Bar B Que on 37 at about seven in the morning & take you to his land.

Chief Mike, his name is Buddy Jones. I fished on his place many times and caught many, many whites. We used to go there before there was a 25 fish limit on whites, and our stringers were so heavy that we had a tough time dragging them. I don't believe that he has that place anymore. I don't know if he sold it or not. Now, we usually go up to his place by boat, but probably won't be able to this year with the low water.

Me too buddy. Hopefully the rain will have brought it up a bit. We don't need much. Just a foot would make it passable for most smaller boats. If not, a dragging we will go.

Not enough rain last night to make a dent in that river. Nueces is a bust this year unless we get several days of solid rain.

I will be there this Friday. If you see me stop by and say hello. I will be in a little green Pelican boat. I am probably going to try out the 59 bridge and if it looks too dry I am going to Swinney Switch and try at that river. Good luck to all.

There will be no runoff or rise. It rained under an inch in the entire watershed.
