All of Hubbard Creeks runoff comes from South and west. Well Enco has a little drainage to the east but not much.

Happy days. Last year in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area we had 23 inches of rain. So far this year 6.6 inches. I like this kind of winter.

Tyler is still getting a slow, soaking rain. Great for farmers, but if we're going to fill up lakes that are 5-6 feet low it's going to have to come down a lot harder than this.
Since I've lived here (15 years) I never cease to be amazed at how storms that are ferocious just south or west of the Tyler area suddenly fizzle when they approach the Smith County line. That goes for winter storms as well as rainstorms.

It will take alot more rain than this to help pines or fork or sandlin. It will take years or a tropical storm

It will take alot more rain than this to help pines or fork or sandlin. It will take years or a tropical storm +1. Not near enough rain has fallen around Sulphur Springs to help Fork and it was dismal around Mt. Pleasant too. We need about 6 inches to piggy back this storm to make any real dent in these lakes.

Lavon is up 7.5" since yesterday's reading on the TWDB website. It's now "only" 10.89 feet low. This rain will dent that, but I doubt it will bring it up too far toward pool level. I'm guessing no more than 3 feet total, and some of that may have to be released to Hubbard. The gates on Lavon don't open until the lake goes above conservation pool at 492ft. Didn't get enough rain to raise the lake 10+ ft.

Texoma is up a foot so far. Every pond on the north side of lake is full and running over spillways. The creeks are flowing like white waters. Wish they would close the gates and let Texoma fill up

I live in Sachse, my rain gauge shows I got 5.83" in the last 24hrs. Hopefully the area north of Lavon got it this heavy, if so should get some good runoff.

guys, use this website, usgs, pick your major river basin and watershed, has most major lakes in Texas except for border ones. some lakes are updated as often as every 15 minutes. hallelujah rain! http://waterdata.usgs.gov/tx/nwis/current?type=lake

Well, I was hoping we would get 4 or 5 inches like a lot on here, but the airport in Texarkana has recorded .87 inches in the last 24 hours. Yet again, like Razorback said about Tyler, the storms just fizzle out before they hit us. My private lake is still going to be about 4 feet low after this passes and the ditch that fills my lake isn't flowing. One of these days, I'll have water over my spillway again.
