All things being equal what is the faster boat out of all bass boats. Assuming 20'+ length, 225hp or 250hp, not loaded down with tackle. I know Bullets are crazy fast but also crazy expensive. I'm looking at 2000 to 2007 models. I heard Bass Cats are pretty fast and Rangers are water logged. Everything else i've gotten mixed opions on. Thoughts?

Fast enough to get you to the wreck?

No right answer. There is a very small group that have the potential to get into the 80's comfortably, but almost everybody else in that category you mentioned will get into the 70's (might argue low 70's vs high 70's, but lots of variables involved). The only boats that may not are the ones that have a motor less than the max rating.

Gamblers are now called "Sterling" and yes they are fast.

Stroker, Allison, Bullet are among the top. Rigging and set up play a big part of top end numbers.

Bullet, Allison, Gambler are fast but they're hard to find around here and they cost to much. I'm curious how everyone would rank the more common boats. skeeter, champion, cobra, ranger, legend, nitro, blazer, triton, stratus, cajun, javelin, charger, bass cat and what ever else thats out there.

I have a 20' ranger with a 250 that I have had up to 74 mph with one man and a light load of gas. As well as 67 mph with 3 guys 2 full tanks and loaded with all my gear. Rangers are not as slow as everyone thinks.

I had a Bullet, now have an Allison, and might consider a Stroker for my next boat. Don't let anyone tell you that these boats are too expensive used. You can buy a very nice Bullet used for the same price, or lower, than a Ranger or BassCat. The Bullet I had was one of my favorite boats and there are lots of them out there for sale. I have driven several Gamblers and, though nice boats, would not put them in the same class speedwise with the other three. Good luck with your search.

I know Rangers are fast! Heck, my 22 year-old 363V with original XR4 Merc gets up to 61 mph GPS, with just me in it and all my gear/stuff.
If I had a late model 520,..... 71 would be fast enough for me. Actually, I don't mind cruising at 41. I ain't trying to outrun nobody, just want a bigger boat for bigger rollers. Big water is scary.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I had a 2006 Triton 20X with 225 Mercury. Top speed was 78 with just me and my gear, with 2 and full gear 73-74. Wish I still had it.
