Has the run started at Hwy 31 area yet? Thinking of going for the first time. Any suggestions on what bait? Also thinking of going in kayak. Any help would be great. Thanks

Fished around the 31 bridge Sunday afternoon with no luck. It was my first time there and I noticed alot more cars in the parking lot than people fishing. Must have been up stream.

Tons of big females still out in main lake in deep water. Not many males with them. Havent been to the river so not sure how that is doing.

Have made a few trips to the river at the 31 bridge, only ones I have caught so far are males and a few crappie here and there. I would think if we get some decent rain between now and the Full Moon on February 7th you should start to see some females moveing into the river the week before and leading up to February 7th.

You could be down there fishing one day and only catch a few males and then the very next day go back and the river would be full of females. It can be like that and happen over night, in which is really what happens most of the time.
