Question: Is there one permit you can buy to launch from ALL the different ramps at Lake Lewisville? I know Ray Roberts has these. The Little Elm ramp started charging a fee last year. What's the deal with all of these dang different fees at the ramps?

There is no permit for all the ramps. The shady shores ramp is free and westlake is 3$.

Most of them are now $10 to launch aside from the ones mentioned above.

All the the Ray Rob ramps are controlled by Texas Parks and Wildlife. At Lewisville the COE has leased most of the ramps out. It is the same way at Grapevine.

i wonder if the COE is just trying to keep people off of the lake. $10 is pretty steep just to launch a boat. it don't cost that much to maintain a park ramp. dam near costs ya $100 before you even hit the water with all the gas, ramp fee, bait, food, etc.

I know the city of Hickory Creek and Highland Village you can by a yearly pass for the ramps in their possession. Not sure about the other cities. I would think they would also offer that option.

Maybe so for the "actual ramp" but there is more to it than that.
Landscaping of the park area
Maintain road to the ramp/parking area
Electricity
Maintance (trash, signs, restrooms, etc.)
Dock maintance/repair
and probably more.

Oak Point is $2.50 daily fee or $18 annual fee. Same fee for both resident and non resident.

Is the ramp ok to launch a 21' bassboat @ the current lake level?

I have a buddy who has a 24 ft CC Hydra Sport and he launches there. If he can, I'm sure you can launch your bass boat there.

Stewarts Creek and Hickory Creek can be purchased together or alone.

1. No, there isn't one permit

2. I dunno whats with all the different fees.

3. Lake Park and Tower Bay ramps are both available on the City of Lewisville parking pass. It's $50 a year for folks who don't live in Lewisville and $25 for residents (also reduced rate for senior citizens)

I'd recommend getting yourself an annual pass for whatever ramps are most accessible for you and making a habit of only using those places to launch. But, I'm cheap.

Good info guys/gals. I'll get my lake map out and find some of these other ramps. I fish Little Elm quite a bit, but their annual ramp fee is going to be $75 (non-resident)...excessive in my opinion. I need to see which of these other ramps are closest to Denton.

Guess I'll have to take my frustrations out on the Crappie! Look out slabs gotta get my money's worth.

I thought I replied to this yesterday but don't see it...
Correction for fisherman Dan's post, in the Colony, Stewarts Creek and Hidden Cove (not Hickory creek) can be purchased either separately, or as a "combo". rates for residents aren't too bad, but non-residents are a bit pricey (not sure exactly, roughly $65-75 maybe for NR?).
But SC has a great ramp that has had no problems with the recent lake levels, been close to the edge of the the poured "top-cap", but the understructure (open checkerboard concrete like small cinderblock on their side) continues on to depths I haven't been able to see yet, 21' Stratos hasn't had the trailer tires leave the hard surface at the lowest levels.
