Trying to determine which to buy. I like the Chronarch and the Revo SX. I'd like some feedback from my fellow TFF buds. Tell me what you like/don't like about the reel. I'm one of those guys who does a ton of research before I spend the money. Thanks guys and God Bless

Hmm well i've never used a Revo SX but I own a Revo STX and a Revo Inshore and I used a Revo S all last semester and I imagine the SX in a middle between them. I love my Revo's based on there feel, and how they perform. My vote is for the SX.

I have both and prefer the Revos because of their size and I can cast them a little further. I have mostly STX Premier's but I do have two SX's and one S. I can honestly say, I like S over the SX. But neither compares to the Premiers. Buy the S and save some money. It's casts a mile.

Chronarch D series is the BEST USDM reel series aside from the Chronarch 50/1 MG. You will not find a better reel at its price point, period. Revo's don't hold a candle to the D series, in my opinion.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

I have 3 Revo S's & 1 Curado. As others said above, I luv the feel of the Revo over the Curado. Revo has a strong, smooth drag system & cast great also. Although I've been told Revo won't hold up as will Shimanos in Saltwater. But I prefer my Revo's

I have four of the SX and three STX. I can say that I have had no problems in three years with the SX and it case and fights the fish as well as the STX.

210, true for the D (and I'd say the B too), but I don't really like the Curado E/Chronarch E at all. Very "loose" compared to other shimano offerings.
Lots of spool slap, the reel gets loud under load, and it just doesn't feel overly solid. The clutch is cheap on the Revo, but they feel more solid to me otherwise.

I will play.Five years ago I had a mixed bag of every reel.I finally tried a revo and now have only one reel that isn't a revo and thats because the wife likes to use it cause she thinks its purdy. The sx is my workhorse and often pick it up over my mgx's.I will admit you really can't go wrong with any top end rod or reel these days since its all about what you like and how it feels.

If you're talking about an E Chronarch, I'd say it's a tossup. They both have their pro's and con's, but if you're talking the D series Chronarch- it's a way better reel than the Revo SX.

When I was getting my first Revo a friend told me to wait because as soon as I got one I would replace all my other reels with the Revo. I started with and STX and now have 4 STX, 4 Premiers, and 9 SX's. I have tried the S and just didn't like it. Would not trade for my Revo's. I don't believe there is a better reel out there than the Premier unless it is the New MGX which I'm afraid to get. Just can't afford to change everything over again..

Go to BPS and pick 'em all up and see which reel you like best. Put it on your rod to see how it balances. Always buy the reel/rod you like best, regardless,of price.
