DD22's We went new years and our best colors were Norman- harbor o, sexy shad, and anything with a little chart., purple in it. I'm sure squarebill wise a sexy shad would be fine.

Caught a lot of fish down there, including a 10-4 and 10-9, on this one. Color is "salad bar" by bandit.

I'm not a crankbait guy but we hurrt them Wed. on a rock pile. I tossed a DD22 for some time with no bites then tied on a 6XD and caught 4 or 5 in a row. I was using heavyer line than I should have so it may be that the 6XD dives better on bigger line than the DD22, but I'm 6XD guy now...

Just look at the colors of the houses in Zapata and match your crankbait to those.

Hey, don't laugh, it really does work!

When you find them down there I don't think color matters much. Just get it in front of em.

Here is one of the square bills we had a lot of luck on. This was a highlight Saturday. My customers first ever double on a bait. It really didn't seem to matter too much on the square bill color Saturday. We caught some on just about every one we used. 6XD and Bomber FFS Silent in Sexy Shad worked good out deeper.
