It was shite about 2 weeks ago. Dinkfest, with the occasional keeper just to make you stay another 30 minutes.

There are a lot of cars in the parking lot everyday. I don't know how the fishing is though. You might give them a call at the marina office and ask.

Fish must be biting pretty good if there are a lot of cars or they would be down at la mancha, which has been horrible lately. Dinks to keeper ratio is about 20 to 1. I think la mancha must be fished out from last year when the game wardon busted some people from ft. Worth that kept every fish they caught. Once saw a lady put a 4inch crappie in the bucket. I don't think it will pick up either cuz this time last year the hogs were thick in there. 2 weeks and not 1 good day is bad. Was there today and there must have been 15 poles in the water and I would say I only saw maybe 20 fish total caught in 4 hours and prolly onlyb 5 keepers caught total and that is between everyone on the dock

This warm weather has not helped the fishing down at leon but we still have feb. to look forward to, as far as weatherford goes the fishing has been steady but a lot of small fish the first and second pole outside after the sun goes down has been really good.If we could get some cold steady weather the bigger fish should move in if not the we get to look forward to spring crappie fishing.

Yeah I go to la mancha 3 to 4 times a week. Same story down here. Up until the past 4 days there was a good 2 week run of a steady all day bite. Last Saturday my 8 year old and I straight killed it. At 10am I realized how full the basket was getting so I counted them out and we already had 34 fish. So I tossed about 6 of the smaller ones cuz I knew my son wouldn't want to have to stop fishing at noon. He never wants to stop! After that we only kept the bigger ones most all 12inches or more. We finally left at 4 and I counted 41 when we got home. Counting the 20 plus we tossed back that were keepers we would have been about 25 over limit. There were about 5 days like this in the past 2 weeks while I was there. Then they shut off completely accept for the morning bite which only last for about 1 hour or 2 at best but still not how it should be. Yesterday the lils weren't even biting. Roller coaster weather has em scattered. Should be better this week.

I just spent 2 hours in the barge this morning. There are a lot of crappie being caught, including some few big fish. Most of those being caught are short of 10 inches, but fun to catch. A few of them are much larger.
