Seems like it's used for an excuse at the ramp a lot. The scientific guys seem to say it shouldnt matter. Most articles I can find from Fishermen say it has a great effect. What are your thoughts and how does it effect the way you approach the day.

When the pressure goes up a lot I go to flipping cover...cause thats supposed to make them tighter to the cover and make them feel sick. Is that true? I have no idea...seems to work though! And when the pressure drops low during a storm for example, it's time to start throwing the fluke but that's just me, I throw flukes every trip year round...

Well it like this pinesaddict. Everytime the barometric pressure drops, do you find yourself wantin more or less donuts? If you always want donuts then guess it doesn't matter. You may not know it but I've been conducting a study on you for the past few months regarding this exact topic. Now, you may not be able to accurately recall your donut cravings but I'll be dad gummed..... If the pressure falls out, you hit the chocolatey sprinkled ones. If the pressure rises, you start some weird diet that you saw on the Internet. I'm still Gathering data but when I'm done, I'll post my findings. For those interested, he DOES hide under objects when it goes above 30.02. Found him under his truck at the boat ramp after a cold front the other day.

I haven't found the weathr or anything elese effecting my dounut cravings. I allways like the plain. I was hiding from YOU under the truck so I wouldn't have to tell you where the fish were and how to catch them

You need to get the Scientific Angler and read it. An older book, but very informative. He teaches on how barometric pressure affects bass by doing underwater studies of bass. Very enlightening.

What are your thoughts and how does it effect the way you approach the day. My theory is that a bad day fishin is still better than a good day at work. There is no substitute for time on the water.

Low pressure equals cloudy and windy days. That equals fish feeding. High pressure equals no clouds and light winds and no finish eating.
