For anyone out there that is ever looking for a back seat, PLEASE let me know.
I live a mile and a half from the boat ramp and cannot buy a bite on the lake to save my life.
If anyone is ever feeling generous and would like to show me how to get bit on this lake, I am more than willing to help out with expenses.
Plus, meeting new anglers is always a plus to me.
Thank you.

joe pool is usally slow in the winter time but the few fish you do catch tend to be pretty decent size....when it is sunny blue bird days i used to do pretty good next to the power lines that run across the lake ...havent fish it in the winter time since there was grass covering that end of the lake though so this pattern migh not work anymore

There is still grass in certain spots of the lake. Most of the spots that the grass is at seems like perfect spots to hold fish like main points and rip rap that has grass all the way to 20 ft.
We had ONE bite yesterday. A 5 pounder in deep grass.

joe pool is a slow lake because of the forage base is LOW thats why the slot isnt working there should be alot of big fish but theres not alot of food in there and those white bass are really competeing with the large mouths

I have been here several times and the fish I catch seem to be skinny. I also saw some leeches on the catfish. I caught crappie in the sticks and catfish and bass by the dam. Pisses me off cause all the fish are small. I think the big ones die...
