Thanks everyone!

Was going to hit the lake today with my buddy who's boat we just hooked up with an HB 998 but it was way too windy today for his 18 footer. lol

So I've been out working on the boat. I took the decals off the sides as they were already coming off, then polished and waxed the rear half of the boat. One of the three TM batts is not charging (per the Ranger select three bank charger, dualpro made)so I figured out which one it was. I read if the one was blinking the batt may be too low to charge so I'm going to try on my regular charger and give it a try on the three bank again. If not I need a new one.

Fun stuff! lol

A little history on that boat for ya SuperG.

I purchased it 4 years ago from the original owner and had it brought down here from Indiana. It only had 102 hours on that motor! He kept it in his garage and kept it in immaculate condition. I tried really hard to keep up with that tradition as best I could. Unfortunately I couldn't keep it in my garage, but I kept it covered and waxed and cleaned it after every trip. I'd say it held up pretty well for a 10 year old boat!

Speed wise that thing is very capable of normal every day high speed of 68/69. It will start to chine a tad bit, but it's very smooth. I have had it as high as 71/72, but that was when the prop was brand new. I'd imagine it could do it again if re-tuned. Mac (the previous owner) was very detailed in setups and I don't think that boat could be setup anymore perfect than that. The jackplate and height and the planing plate on the bottom, it's just dead perfect. That really is a fast boat for a 520 Ranger and 225! The other nice benefit of that plate is it jumps on plane, it's basically on plane when you hit the pedal. That's all Mac's doing.

The seat, is ummm my dumb dumb. It is a pedestal for the sit down chair I sent with it. I thought I could just go buy a butt seat and put it on that pedestal and it would work. However, as you've noticed it's a bit short, lol. I never fixed it though because I don't fish with the seats, I never took them to the lake. I kept them in the truck simply to hold up the cover.

Love that boat, and do admit a tad of sellers remorse, hehe. But, I'm building a river boat for now so my priorities changed a bit. You will absolutely love that boat, I did. It's one of the best hulls Ranger ever made.

Those tires are this season also btw, so they should last a while.

Any other questions, just send me a PM and I'll answer whatever I can. Congrats bud, you really got a nice boat!
