I think I've only missed 2-3 events since it started, one of the best run events you'll ever see. BassChamps staff is there to conduct the weigh-in. Skeeters ownership and management staff are there, Skeeters Elite pros are on hand for a visit and get advice on what to fish with.. If youre lucky enough to win any of the first day hours, you'll get to compete in the 2-hr shoot out at days end with one of the Elite pros for an awesome prize package.. Like Okie said, the chow is real good, it's definitely a family event. One thing's for sure, you don't have to worry about fishing against Sinkey--he so whipped his wife never lets him fish it.... They'll be on a cruise or some B/S like that... Wimp... ...........

Been wanting to fish it for years and haven't ever made it! I've got a 1960 skeeter with no TX #'s on it....it's never been registered
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

It is an AWESOME event. Lots of cool stuff and the Skeeter People are unbelievable. If you can make it, do. The guy who won the grand prize last year went from a john boat to a $40k+ fully Skeeter. It was so cool.

Revoman, you don't need a back seater. It's an individual tourney

I plan to be there. This will be my third year to fish it.
I also plan to have some extra $$ to buy more kistler rods...

Fished out of a Skeeter for the first time in 1972. My uncle was a guide on Toledo Bend. Two tone green Skeeter Hawk. Top of the line and loaded with a flasher, motorguide, 65 Johnson, and an electric anchor. I'll never forget the smell. I was hooked. Bought my first one off the showroom floor in 1985 and have been ride'n in a Skeeter ever since.
