OK all you lip rippers, what is your preference in line type and test for your various presentation methods? For example, 10# yellow Fireline with 3/8 oz. Casting sinker and 3/0 fine gold Aberdeen hook about 12 inches up is my preferred presentation for tight-lining with minnows. I like the no stretch of the Fireline plus I can pull the hook loos most of the time when I hang brush.

What say ye?

10# Fireline w/ 8# fluoro leader for most of my jig fishing.

6# Wally Marshall Hi-Vis on my dock shooters but I may be changing to 8# Sufix Elite Hi-Vis if we ever get any water on the docks again.

10# mono, either Stren or Big Game on my spider rigging rods.

I use 6# Suffix Tangerine on pretty much everything. I don't fish minnows so I don't have a minnow set up. In spring, when I am wading the reeds I step up to 10# line. Usually floro.

Thanks for the info so far. Please keep them coming. If any of you have a line on whose got the best prices for the more expensive braids and fluoros, I would appreciate that, too.

6 lb Mr crappie line all year long. I do believe that during the shallow spawn bite we could beef it up a bit and be ok but 6lb line is a great multipurpose line.

6# mr. Crappie line 1/32 to 1/8oz works excellent for me. Plus I can get 500 yards of it $5. No need to by that expensive line for crappie. I catch more than most all the people I see using flurocarb and some of the high $ braided. Different strokes for different folks. If your catching fish that is all that matters
