I been reading on here for a while that not many ramps are useable on Palestine and ihow dangerous it is out on the lake right now. Are they still gonna have the tournament on Palestine or is their another lake they may be considering moving to? Has anyone heard anything? I'm thinking of co-angling and time is getting closer and I don't want to reserve a room and they move it and a lose a deposit of something?
Sorry if this has already been discussed, if it was I missed it.

hopefully Denise or Porter will see this thread and make an official announcement (although fish killer is pretty dialed in when it comes to the ABA BWS)

OK the true Lake P........5'-6' low
Ramps access on & off are rough.....
I live at the lake, see it every day, fished it for 20+ years
Don't care who you are or what you think you know....Sleepers just below the surface in many places
If you run main lake channel your ok but gettin to the fishy spots is risky
I won't put my Skeeter at that risk!!!!!!!

have said as much myself, it will be very risky, and have said so for months now, my club wont even fish it at this point in time, its definatly up to the t.d. and his staff and I know they are cautious, well meaning people who care.
Im sure they will make the proper decisions

Chris knows as does every one else that spends some time on Palestine. The fishy areas, are always tough to get to on Palestine low water or not. Palestine is always tough on equipment. Just get the idea of "running" out of your head and you'll be fine, get into a mind set that you may have an extra 30 minutes of idleing, and don't be impatient. I wish I was still in East Texas so I could put some more Palestine stump marks on my boat. I was on the lake a couple times over the Christmas holidays, and it's fishing great felt good to be back. Gonna miss fishing with ya'll (BWS Div. 11) for the next 3 years but I'll be back.
I guess I'll just have to accept that all I have to fish over the next 3 years is ..... FALCON!

You have to use your own judgment on weather you want to fish it or not.

Yep, make a copy of your repair bill and nail it to that sucker. Several of those Palestine stumps have my name on them.

I don't see how moving it is gonna help. All lakes in that area are low and chances are we are gonna face low water issues all season on this trail. Be safe when naviagting and make the best of it. We are all fishing the same conditions and it might make the results a bit more interesting. Personally I am looking forward to it and hope it stays as planned.

When you see the locals at take off in their flat bottoms, be prepared to be a clapper at weigh.

I really hope they change Palestine. If we dont get some substantial rain, Tyler won't happen. The lakes are getting tough to launch and STAGE the tournament. I think Texoma could pick up some events this year....
