 Water in lower unit oil

Changed my lower unit oil today (2003 115 Optimax). I noticed a little water in the old oil. Doesn't seem to be a lot. Is this bad news or normal. I went ahead and changed the oil & I'm planning on going fishing tomorrow. Is this a bad idea? Any advice appreciated.

Bad news.
Do not run it with a bad lower unit seal, the water pressure will force the lube out, replaced by water, and your lower unit is a gonner.

How much is a little water? It could be condensation.

Thanks guys. I'll wait until I get it checked out before going out again. Any idea what it cost for that seal to be replaced?

No way to diagnose which seal is bad over the internet. Could be a prop shaft seal, could be as simple as the gasket on the vent or fill screw. You should pressure test it to determine where the breach is.
