+1!! Or the 2nd run when it sees the boat!!! 100# topwater yellowfin on a big popper! like you dropped a vw in the water, then set the hook, and watch all your line disappear under 25# drag as the tuna heads for Cuba. THAT'S what hooking up to a freight train feels like.

Fresh- The thump from Crappie, Cranks for Bass...Feels like a Gill' peckin' at your bait sometimes and then WHAM! Salt- Reds exploding on a Skitterwalk...Sounds like someone throwing a 100 lb rock in the water!

Here's two awesome crank bait strikes:
(1) stump & shake: when you're crank'n along and it comes to a dead stop or when you kill it and start to crank and you think you snagged a stump and then you feel the shake.
(2) freight train: when your're crankin and in a split second 20' of line is stripped off your spool and it feels like you hooked a freight train.

Gotta love walking a spook and just when you pause it, a fish explodes on it. After that, I would say a weightless fluke bite. I love watching them come up and snatch it.

Bass: Top water bite when they Xplode on it or jump out of the water and Pounce on it ! Also, I've had Spotted Bass hit a crank bait so hard it made my wrist hurt all day. That's a strong fighter now for their size.
& Crappie: to me, is nothing like that HARD thump as following the Jig down so slightly.

I'll say the wacky worm. I love to watch my line dart sideways without feeling it. And the Tx rigged worm bite

Texas rig or top water. Can't decide.
I like when they thump a Texas rig, I hold still, and then I see my line moving away, them I set it. I get excited just thinking about it.
Top water is great when they smash it and when it disappears in a silent vortex of water.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

Any topwater bite. As a buddy of mine, Cat, described a 10 lb'er he caught at Choke Canyon on a spook one day "I thought someone had thrown a car battery off the top of the dam when the fish blew up on my spook!" that's what I'm talking about. When it looks like someone justed flushed the toilet under your bait...
When in doubt, jerk.
