 Calaveras Lake North end closed?

Anyone know why the north end of Calaveras is closed. i drive back there whenever im there and the gate always seems to be closed. i hooked up with something big in the farthest corner and it broke off. never got to see it. I've been wanting revenge but no go damn place is closed.

it's been closed and don't think it will re-open last i heard... too many illegal things going on back there

so unfortunate cause that cut a good chunk of spots on the lake now on busy days its hard to find a decent spot to throw a line gotta go by boat

not funny at all the meth heads were hanging out back there, of course that was befor the new management, they got the place cleaned up quite a bit.
