My childrens school bus was involved in a collision with a box truck this morning. A Lowe's delivery truck ran a stop sign and our bus hit it broadside at estimated over 50 mph. 38 kids on bus, 28 kids transported to hospital, 3 adults transported. 1 child and bus driver are in critical condition. All children are still at the hospital and none have been released at this point. My children don't ride this bus in the morning. I worked the scene on the FD side and spirits were high at this point. It is Academy Tx bus #7

Update: the one child an 8th grade girl named Haley who is an active athlete in every sport is in surgery with multiple broken bones including a broken bake. She may never walk again........Mr. Johnson bus driver is still fighting to stabilize enough for surgery. Not looking good for a man who has drove that bus for decades. He not has only drove my kids but my wife as a little girl as well.

Prayers to everyone involved and the families. I ised to drive that delivery truck from time to time back in the late 90s.
