I just got a computer report back on my HPDI 225 and it had:
<1000rpm - 7.2 hours 1000-2000 - 0.2 2000-3000 - 0.8 3000-4000 - 3.4 4000-5000 - 0.1 5000-6000 - 0.0
Have I done something wrong in the break-in period? What should I do now?

Nothing - just trying to break her in right. Someone told me I needed to start getting it a little hotter. I've actually been all out a few times - but just for short stretches.
Can I put Quicklean (sp?) in my HPDI or do I have to use ring free? Seems everywhere I go has Quicksilver products.

Capjun, Have a Johnson 35, 72 model yesterday it seemed to log down and then just stopped, acted like no fuel, bulb was solid and, screen was clean, started after sitting a few mins, stopped again a few min later, again, rested and it started running again..... Is it a big job to clean this carb ?

Hey LearnedHat, Looks real good to me. You've got some time on the engine now, I wouldn't be afraid to to let her run full throttle, in short bursts. Your doing it right ! In " my " opinion, quick clean, and ring free are the same, BUT, to be on safe side, run what the manufacture calls for. Have fun with your new rig ! Hope this helps, Capjun

Hey Hooker, Not really. If you can remember how you take it apart, then you can put it back together in reverse. I suggest a carburetor dip. Berrymans makes a 1 gallon carb dip, with a basket, for about $ 20.00. Don't remove the welch plugs, (pressed in aluminum domes). You can also get a repair manual for about $35.00 that will cover this and many other repairs. If you have any questions, please call me @ 817-832-2526. If not, call me anyway. I'd like to hear how you are doing ! Hope this helps, Capjun

Hey culeoka, Look under each carburetor, you will see several small fuel hoses. These are the recirc system. Give me a call, I'll explain how to check them. 817-832-2526 Capjun

Hey culeoka, When you activate the primer with the key switch,( pushing it in ), it sends 12 volts DC to the solenoid. If it shorts closed, when you turn the key on, the primer solenoid will activate. Set your volt/ohm meter to 20 vdc. With key switch on, connect the black test lead to ground, and the red test lead to the primer solenoid,( I think it's purple with a white strip ). You should get NO voltage. Have someone push in the key switch to activate the primer. You should get 12 vdc. Also, the red lever on the primer solenoid should be facing the center. Hope this helps, Capjun
