Depends on the club. Some clubs are worthless to join if you are beginning. Some clubs you draw out and fish with different people all the time which gives you a chance to see how somebody else fishes to give you ideas of what to do. Just dont go join a club to find out WHERE those people fish. If you start fishing the sots they frequent because you know they go there you will make enemies quick. When you go with a person use it as a chance to learn why the location is good or bad. Pay attn to the characteristics of the location so that you can look for something similar on ur own down the road.

Some clubs are just for competition those guys are not there to learn or show you anything. Usually these clubs wont draw out with different people t keep from showing each other the whens and wheres of it.

I like the clubs that are there for competition but I would also tell anyone where and what I catch fish on. I fish in a club that is very competitive and everyone still enjoys each other. We have roughly 45 boats.
