 MInn Kota Maxxum Problem

Hey Guys,
I have a minn kota trolling motor. The thing runs great out of the water through all power settings. But when it is in the water and full power is used it will cut on and off. Really wierd. It will stop doing it if I go down to half power but then when full power is used again it will starting cutting off and then on again. What is the problem?
I'd rather be fishing!

I had a simular problem with my m/k. It turned out to be the reostat and control board they are made together. Mine was still under warrenty so it was fixed for free.

I had this problem and it ended up being a corroded ground on one of my circuit breaker at the battery. Replaced the cable ends and circuit breakers and no more problem.

Usually it's a corroded or bad connection.Check all your connections and replace your circuit breaker.After they've tripped a few times they will trip very easily and cause that problem.

Thanks for the help guys, i will look into it after the rain stops. I dont want to complain too much because we are finally gettin some.
