I like them and would have one, but there are bridges at Cedar Creek and other places where the darn console will not go under. For me, water I can not reach is a major turn off. Just something to think about,

I don't like Express but center consoles in general are very popular and gaining more popularity. I love my SeaPro. ------------------ Ed

Fisherman Ed,
What Sea Pro do you have? I have seen one I am interested in. They seem to have pretty good reps but not a lot of them here in the DFW area. How is it rigged? What about wiring and dry storage? I believe it is between them and Blue Wave for me. Also where did you purchase yours?
Thanks, Bruce

shad boy,
I just bought my second Sea Proa SV2100CC, (21.5 ft.). The have a very smooth dry ride. My first one was a SV1900CC. It had a smooth dry ride as well. We just found ourselves needing an even bigger boat.

Danny,
Where did you purchase yours and what power do you have on it.
There is one in Houston, a 21 like yours and 4 months old. It is already rigged with everything but a trolling motor. I am still trying to get some more info on it. I has a 150 Merc so I am looking for feedback on those. Still don't know if it is FI or carbed.
Thanks for the help.

shad boy,
Mine is a 2001 Model with a 150 Yamaha. I just bought it recently near Lake Lavon.
I am happy with the horse power. I can get up to about 46-48 MPH. However for fuel economy I usually only tack about 3,500 RPMS. Im in no big hurry.

Thanks, Bruce I have the SVC1700 with a 90 Yamaha. I like it very much. It is fully loaded. I bought it in Temple at a dealer. There is also a dealer in San Antonio. They are very high quality boats. They are lined which some other mfg. boats are not. It has two livewells and an insulated fish box, an anchor storage compartment, storage under the center console and storage under the drivers seat. I paid $15k for it and the trailer including all taxes out the door. Of course I had to add all the optional equipment for that price. ------------------ Ed

Pintail,
Sorry to have hijacked your post!
Ed and Danny,
Thanks for the info. Danny are you in the DFW area. I would like to take a look at your boat sometime and see how you have it rigged for fishing.
Thanks,

shad boy,
I am in Sulphur Springs, TX which is about 80 miles East of Dallas and about 60 miles North of Tyler.
As far as rigging I bought the boat naked without a locator, trolling motor, etc.
Since buying it I have put a hand controlled Minn Kota Rip Tide 74 lb. 24 volt trolling motor on it. I have put a Lowrance X97 on it. And I have a marine radio that I will have on it in a day or so. That is really all I have done.
I bought the Minn Kota since it had a three-year warranty vs. a two-year on Motor Guide. I was going to get a Lowrance X87. But when I called Academy to check their stock before driving over there they told me that they had a X97 in a X87 box and was going to sell it as it was bar coded. That is a $400 locator for the price of a X87 at about $279.
Anyway I would be glad to show you mine if you want to run up here some time.

Danny, what shaft length did you get on the Minn Kota and how well does it work, I was hoping to get away with about a 65 lb.

BigK,
I got the 62" one. I have only had it in the water one time just to make sure it worked OK,
I had my GPS with me. It went 2.3 MPH into a pretty strong wind on Lake Fork. Obviously that wouldn't compare to a wind at Texoma.
I remember AxMan saying that on a windy day at Texoma that his was coming out of the water some. We have the same boat. I think he got the longest Motor Guide made.
Anyway with only one use I guess I am happy with mine.
