So is this like a rattle trap but a lead weight for the body and no rattles?

Have you ever fished blade baits ? They fish a lot like a trap.. That's what this reminds me of anyways cheers

I like this version though.. Nice work! thumb

No rattles. We tried to put rattles in them but we are not happy with the results. I'll take a picture of one that I just painted.

Hey , Scott--

I used large size flitter bait you gave me to catch the 2nd largest hybrid I've ever caught. ( 11 lbs )

My boat won't reach the water , yet, so I have
not been fishing in a while.

the large size is very good for hybrids. You can fish it like a rattle trap or a slab. I don't troll , but I bet it would be good for that also.

good luck
MO

Mo, glad you got a big one. 11 lb is a dandy. Slow rolling it in deep water (15 ft or more) works on big bass too. Here's a picture of a couple, one 4 inch and one 2 inch.

I'm a pretty cynical person, but that finishing job looks dam good. You know, to fish a dams in the winter.
