 Finally got back on Cedar Creek

Finally took a day off of blue cat fishing... Headed over to Cedar Creek to see if I still remembered how to get there.  Ending up finding our way there and was planning on fishing for sandbass. Got on the water at 11:20a.m. and started looking for sandies and didn't find any at our first spot we looked. Moved to another area in shallower water and found some. Started catching those and then noticed some birds working in the distance to decided to see what was going on. Got over there and birds went away. I scanned the area and found large groups of hybrids still hanging around. Got on those fish really well and stayed w/ them the rest of the afternoon. Lost count of how many we caught, kept a few for the freezer. I had forgotten how large those cc hybrids have got. Nice. Fish were suspended over deep water and late in the afternoon moved up shallow. I saw some 55 degree water temps today, fyi.  Our biggest three went 8.8, 9.5 and 10.3lbs... Here are a few pics

Glad you had a good trip Michael, it was good talking to ya yesterday. Don't be a stranger. I'm working on not being a stranger anymore. The catfish are going to slow down in March and I might be a regular joe come spring. Yesterday was the first time on cc since January of last year.
