I believe it would.
Ive caught close to a dozen this past Sunday on a jig with a crawfish trailer.
Similar concept and presentation.

I fish a craw worm tx style alot. I use a tungsten weight and bead. I work it in short jerks instead of like a worm. It is a great big fish bait. You will get alot more bites than fishing it with a jig. I have caught two 10's fishing them this way.

There are some shakey heads available now in larger sizes. I think these will make your crawfish stand up better than just Tx rigged.

Forgot to add:
I'll cast it in and let it sink to the bottom. From there I'll let it sit for 5-6 seconds.
From there, I'll drag it slow in 'pause & retrieve' method (Pause for 3 seconds, Retrieve slowly for a few inches).
On occassion, I'll give it small upwards twitch to make it hop.

Tx rigged Chigger craw with a pegged 1/4 oz tungsten weight is the way to go. Hopped and paused. The legs on the Chigger craw will sit straight up when paused. Hope this helps.

I like the xcite raptor tail jr on as light of a pegged weight as the wind will allow. Slower is better this time of year.

old faithful. the craw and bullet wieght is what dad and I used 30 years ago, and it still works to this day. My favorite is the gene larew salty craws! still have a few hundred of the 4" chart pepper!!! they work everywhere! they work even better with split shot about 6" up the line.
