 Lube II steering rod sealer, need opinions

Would like some expert opinions on the Lube II Steering Rod Sealer. Does the Lube II extend the life of the steering cable? Is it worth the price? I am changing the cables on my boat and would not like to do it again any sooner than I have to, never is to soon. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.SearchResults
