I hear ya. Looks like you guys did good.
Slow and steady and a few bigguns.
Maybe it will take colder temps to get them all bunched up deep... although I hate colder temps. mad

Pines isn't that secretive even for a tournament on the 21st. Drive out to where the 200+ boats are and start fishing. grin thumb
Thanks for the reports.

Stucky76 - Man you know how to stir the pot. You should have said that the biggest fish was longer than your shoulders are wide. It would have been perfect then.

It's all good Gene. There was some guy here a couple months ago that said he caught 3 and 4 pound crappie while back reeling. I still don't know what that is. LOL!

Backreelin, Shoulder width crappie, and "free" jigs. Life couldn't get any better than that.

I think I caught about 8 so I'm glad to know it was slow and I'm not a total failure. I did see a house boat come by with a real live monkey on it. Did anybody else see that? The boat had a name like "Monkey Business" and sure enough had a real monkey on it. And no, I didn't have a drink until I was already home.

Fish tremble at the mention of my name.

Asleepatthereel: I saw the houseboat. It was tied up with another houseboat on the south end. They were catching crappie and cleaning and frying them right then. They offered my wife and I some, but I declined. Some of the other fishermen did take them up on it though. And yes, there was a monkey running along the top of one.

I can do better---I just never have.

Holy sheet, I gotta see that!
It should be relatively calm this weekend. I hope they are out there again! It will give us something to do when we are not catching crappie. nuts
Maybe I can give them some crappie for the cause.
