Had one of my best Conroe days ever in those canals one spring, if I'm thinking of the same canals. Butch Terpe took me back there and we introduced those fish, in what little grass there was in Conroe, to the Lake Fork Tackle Top Dog Lizard. Wtrmln/blk flk/chart tail. Mark had just released them. We had somewhere between 30 and 35 pounds back there in 2 hours. I felt like I was on a canal in S Fla. or S. La.

A guy I know measured it today and it is up 11 inches now. Im sure it will get more from the runoff.

With the flooding down there it should fill up. Looked like Big Sam was getting plenty of rain.

lol..it might make it to 194ft above sea level.


It swole up yesterday only to receed a bit..We need to keep it low until May...after that put 4 ft in and wait until next year.

great stuff.....somebody needs to teach me this rain dance. Ill dance my @ss off if it means we can catch a few feet of rain....yes I said feet and and this rate I might upgrade to yards....lol.
