Well as my name says I drive a Skeeter. It aint new its a 99'zx202c with a 200vmax but itll do 74 gps all day long and thats pretty good for a 200! Its paid for and thats the best part! I was looking at a new skeeter and also a champion. The only boat that might handle the rough seas on area lakes (N.TEX) any better than a Skeeter. I was looking at at the 22+ footers but the mph might drop for the bigger boats. Any Champion owners!!

Wow, how much gas does your tank hold

I've got a 203 Champion with a 225 Yamaha 225 OX66. It will do 76 loaded with 2 people in calm or rough water. Without a doubt the best rough water ride of any bass boat I've been in. The only problem is it fishes a little high in the front because of the deep V.

I bought a new TZX200 Skeeter last year and it did 72 with all the gear and my grown son with me. I dont ever drive that fast just wanted to see what it would do. It gets much better gas milage when I throttle back. I've never ridden in a Champion but the Skeeter is the best I've seen when it comes to rough water. I've been in Tritons, Rangers, and the worst was the Nitro. We were drenced just running across the lake.

I've owned 4 champions now and I would have to say that my 210 with merc 250xs is by far the fastest one I've owned..

The Skeeter is a very dry riding boat but you should take a ride in a Champion on a rough day. You will be impressed.

I agree with you about the Nitro. I got beat to death once in a 929 Nitro and it was only whitecapping on the lake, no rollers and the 929 is supposed to be one of their best boats.

I run a 2005 198DC with a 225 ETEC H.O. The fastest I've had the boat is 73.1 on GPS but that was loaded fairly lightly. Running a tournament load with a 1/2 tank of gas I'm around 70. I still haven't got it propped out just right but I think it would have just a little more. The rough water ride is great. I saw the new 210 that Advantage Marine has at the boat show and the new styling looks awesome. They've made some really good changes that make the boat look a lot cleaner and improve the fishability. I can't wait to see what the new 200 looks like.

My buddy bought an 05 206E, might be a 209E, with a yammy 250 HDPI.

The thing hauls. Never had it at full speed cause he was breaking it in. He has told me that he took it up to 60 mph the other day and had plenty of hot foot left.

I've got an old Champion- 1987 -that started the whole rough water battle. I've kept this boat in good shape because I'll never sell it!!!
Handles really Bad days on the lake with a smooth dry ride. As far as speed- the 150 Hp Evinrude pushes it fast enough for me.
