looking to get into fly fishing i have been fishing for about the past 7 years but one of my buddies took me to a creek on his ranch to try my hand at fly fishing for bass and i loved it. What would be a good direction to get kick started into fly fishing for 100-125 bucks?

I'm going to echo Jerry here. I have a couple of Three Forks outfits and enjoy them thoroughly.

Three forks - good recommendation for you price range.
And be careful to steer clear of those Pflueger rod/ reel/ line packages for 50 bucks; while they are attractively priced, these heavy glass/graphite composite rods are no where near the quality of a Three Forks.

i used to have several three forks rod and reel combos. No issues with them. but you can also take a look at there traditions II line and pick up an outfit for $129. and then there is also the Redington Crosswater outfits that you can find for around $100. I use a 5wt Redington Crosswater that I replaced the grip and reelseat with a fullwells, aluminum seat and fighing butt for Big Bass and Stripers. I'm looking to replace it with a TFO axiom. But it has never given me any problems or broken. So going to fish it until it breaks.

Les I've never used a Three Forks, but the other day I was out and there were some guys that were new to fly fishing. The one had a pflueger and I was trying to help him cast. I tried to cast that thing and it was horrible. Do not get suckered into one of those. I ended up letting the guy use my rod and he said that he was going to buy something better. Don't know if he did, but if you can cast one of those well then you are master in my opinion.

Those are all good recommendations. I would suggest taking a look at St. Croix rods also--not instead of, in addition to.

my friend guide me Tim drove up to Olympic peninsula to fish last year.3000 mi round trip from here. He is fine tyer of classic patterns, and fishes well. In two weeks, he had 6 grabs, 3 fish on, none to hand.
