My batteries are on the way out again,I really like the price and the replacement plan also the fact that where ever your fishing you can always find one close by.I am just wondering if they will run my 80 lb motor all day.Appreciate any advice.

I haven't ever had batteries for my trolling motor that would last all day on high 24 in the wind. Anybody else?

I have had bad luck with Continental batteries. I went through 4 batteries in 2 years. Both batteries that came with my new boat went bad after 11.5 months. They came with one year warranties so luckily I got a new set for free. Then the new ones went bad after 12.5 months. This time they would not exchange them for me. Just my 2-cents.

Once again, 98% of all batteries sold in the US come from one of 2 or 3 places. Most of the batteries available today are much better than the batteries sold just 5 years ago.

I have used WalMart batteries and they were fine. I now have Optimas, and they are very good. They are light and powerful, and expensive. Be sure you have a top quality charger w/3 phase charging. It will add at least 50% to the life of your batteries.

I use WalMart batteries with no problems. And if it ever dies, there is usually a WalMart close to the ramp.

I have used them for several years with no problems. I have never had my 70# MinnKota to run them down in one day.

I use Everstarts as well. I have an 84# Motorguide Tour Edition (36v), and I can run all day on my batteries. I am getting ready to replace mine with the new Everstart Marine MAXX batteries as my current ones are on their last legs (3 years).

Discount Battery on 199 by Lake Worth coming from Ft Worth They have a Trojan wet cell that is hard to beat. I've run Everlast, Continental, Nautilus and Interstate. They are all good batteries and I usually get a couple years out of each before having to replace it. But I think the Trojan had the edge on them all, it seemed to have the juice a little longer into the late day. The fellow who sold me the battery said it was a $150 battery but because some post were bent he had them for $75. I have since traded boats, so I won't know how long it will hold up but when I need a new battery I will revisit Discount Battery.
