Going to Fork in march, my buddy wants to hit Bob Sandlin too. How do the 2 lakes compare? I figure Sandlin don't have the same quality fish, but is it ridden with stumps so you have to idle outside all the boat lanes like fork? Never been, so wanting to know a little about the lake.

I always wondered why sandlin never really turned into a good trophy lake. IMO it is a mini fork. The water is close to the same color and clarity, the wood cover is about the same, and it has plenty of deep water.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

I like Quitman, its a seldom used and has awesome fish. I have caught a boatload of 5-6 pounders outta it. Its where i learned to Carolina rig years ago. Its a nice change when Fork is covered up
