I'm going to be in Marble Falls the last of March. I know a lot depends on weather. In general what should the crappie fishing be like at that time on LBJ or Buchannan? thanks, capt david

Might be a good time to try boat docks, or go at night and look for the ones with lights

CaptDavid, Let me know when you will be up this way, i will know where to go! Last year, I got my limit on Feb. 20th from the bank in 4-5ft of water. Then they moved out to another area after a week or 2.

look shallow, if the water is stained , if the water is really clear ,,(because of a lack of rain), look deeper. this year, alot of fish spawned deeper in alot of areas they normally spawned shallow because the water was very clear. not many people have ever seen crappie swimming in the water out in the open, theres a reason for this, they dont like to be seen, they have predators from above also. I personally believe crappie will spawn as deep as 12 feet if the water is clear enough.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
