I have a 20 foot skeeter and want to buy either a Talon or Power Pole. Need to know pros and cons. I know everyone has an opinion but I would like a why also. Ease of use, holding in rough water and so on. Thanks!

I have a power pole and would buy the Talon. I like the fact it comes with remotes, hooks up to battery instead of using hydraulic power with an extra accessory pump.

Will be staying with power pole till it gives out...

I think for the power pole first coming out it was a great tool for fishermen. I Just think Minnkota redesigned there's to be a little more redefined.

Not a bash on power pole because its a great product just my opinion on why I would change...

I have a power pole and love it. The pump actually drains less battery than the talon cause it uses hydraulic power and electric. Giving me better feelings bout my batteries not getting drained. Also the power pole can be lowered out of the way of someone fishing in the back of the boat. The talon will not go down it stands straight up the whole time. Power pole is super easy to install yourself too. That is my opinion on it.....but I don't own a talon so....

My experience. Purchased 2 Talons-they dont keep the boat spinning around as they drop down versus PP which spread out and do keep the boat from spinning around. If you sight fight the Talons are no good. Both of mine quit working within first month, send them both back, they sent me new ones which I sold to my neighbor who has sent them back again. I purchased PP, never had another problem.
