Mcsanders, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!! Keep your eyes open and pay attention to your surrondings. You never know you may see! TBASSYATES: It's OK to talk to the animals, they get lonely too. I had a great conversation with a Snowy Igret last saturday and I'll be darned if he didn't come back and visit with me on sunday. Shoots he ate half of my lunch. Tight lines Bigcat

Evolution 44...I can't believe that you devulged the info on modifying fluke's to change the way they fall. Assume I do not need to explain why!

When everything else fails...go back to the basics.Worms,spinnerbaits,hotspots. Buy the best equipment you can afford,it will make fishing alot easier and enjoyable.Nothing more frustrating than a reel that "birdnest" all the time. Mark

Gofish covered my thoughts, but to re-iterate, have the camera at the ready. It can be a huge difference between a fish story and a picture to prove it. Scale, pliers and scissors all ready at hand make it an easy task when you get that fish in the boat.

If you can't smell your hands, I doubt the fish can. Seriously, this stuff works better than anything else I have tried for getting that fishy smell off after cleaning your catch. Scrub good, especially your nails, and use Germ-X.

1. Put your cell phone in a zip lock or leave it at home. 2. Put a swivel on your marker buoys (thanks Dlee). Also, tie a knot about 6 feet above the weight so you will know when its about to bash the side of your boat. I do that on my anchor as well. 3. Take care of small things while they are still small.

Never try to back a hook out (that has passed the barb) of gill plates or throat . Hooks are the least expensive piece of equipment needed for fishing . As a begining angler , it will happen from time to time , when it does happen , don't cheap out & torture a fish , with a slow death (over .50 cents & inexperience)

Hee-Hee! Ditto on the cell phone advice. I dropped mine off the loading dock at Lavonia last year. Was able to fish it up with a large magnet I carry with me. It looked eary...glowing as I pulled it up from the bottom. And it still would work except the lcd display was toast! Probably fried that with the magnet. Couldn't believe it worked at all. It were ruint' anyways!
