Run braided line on everything? I was told the water is fairly murky. About the only thing I've ran braid on was c-rig and frog. Would it be a smart idea to run it on t-rig and cranks as well?
I just have nightmares about latching on to a big one and losing her in the brush.

I don't like braid and cranks. Too many lost fish due to lack of stretch.
You will get more bites on 25 lb. fluoro than you will braid. I use fluoro almost exclusively down there. However, if I were flipping wood you can bet I'll have braid on.
The only time I throw cranks on braid is if I'm ripping a lipless in grass.

+1 on everything Fouzman said, if you throw a big crank on braid and get a big girl smack it the hooks are likely to just rip out. 25lb Fluoro is the deal there....even on big cranks

Agreed. Floro or mono for cranks. Braid for flipping. I was using 65lb braid last year and lost a couple that sawed me off in the brush. I'll have at least one flipping stick rigged with 80 this year.

I personally feel like 25 flouro hinders the action of a big crankbait pretty bad. I know one guy came to the boat ramp with two 13 lbers and a 12 lber he caught on a DD-22 with braid.. Not saying it is the right way to do it, but it can surely be done.

Not saying it is the right way to do it, but it can surely be done. In line this this thought process is the fact that David Dudley uses a flipping stick when he fishes a DD-22. More and more pros are starting to think the same way.

I caught some big fish last year on deep divers with 50 lb braid, but I also straightened some hooks.
I personally don't really like braid at all, but I also didn't want the big flouro keeping my cranks from getting down.
This year I'll stick with flouro for my tx rigs, c-rigs, and jigs and bring along a flipping stick with braid. Undecided so far for cranks.

I think braid with a leader works best with jigs and t-rigs in the trees. Remember, often times you're fishing heavy brush on deep structure -- not just flipping.

17lb suffix deep cranking line (green) I crank primarily rock out there with very little wood.....like the stretch and give of mono with my Ducket 7'11" Those big girls will rip the hooks clean out of their mouth if there is no drag or give to your set up.

there are several different line situations on falcon.
quick answer: yes. you can use braid on cranks down there. i caught several 8's and 9's this year throwing deep cranks on 40# braid.
that being said, i have several different cranking setups on the deck when fishing down there. for shallow and deep cranks that i'm gonna be throwing in the trees, i use 40# 832. yes you do give up the stretch, but you dang sure don't give up as many cranks.
for deep cranks on bare rocks, i have 14-15# flouro.
flipping: use 25# flouro. like fouz said, you get more bites than braid. footballing: 20# big game.

I just have nightmares about latching on to a big one and losing her in the brush. Just run a little looser drag with braid and crankbaits/treble hook lures (So it gives a little when you get a strike), and tighten it up as needed when you get one on.

I would flip wood cover in stained/dirty water with 50 to 65lb braid also. Flipping is a reaction bite. They don't have time to analyze the line choice when you drop it down the brush on top of there head. The same goes for grass also.

I just have nightmares about latching on to a big one and losing her in the brush. If you are going to be dragging, lifting and dropping a TX rig across the bottom then I would use Fluorocarbon for that. If you are going to be flipping heavy cover with a TX rig, I would use 50lb braid or a very heavy lb test Fluorocarbon (25lbs)
