Good Day Gents,
I am interested in trying bass fishing. I mostly fish for Crappie and Bream. Was looking for some tips on equipment, rigs, and baits/lures to start out with to try and hook some bass. I fish in West Texas in the Abilene area. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Would Rather Be Fishing!!!

My friends that don't bass fish much do the best on T Rig plastics and shallow cranks.
I prefer a level wind reel for most LM fishing. So do my friends once the learn how to throw.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Welcome to the dark side, Mister Fish. Glad to have you.
Best advice I can offer is farm ponds, which I'm sure are readily available to you in that country.
Learn some techniques from guys here. Buy a few baits and go get 'em. Once you feel confident in your ability to detect bites and catch fish, consider a local bass club.
The rest, as they say, is history!
Have fin (fun)
